Bubbly Tortellini Sausage Bake

Indulge in a delightful bubbly tortellini pasta bake that's a symphony of flavors and textures. Succulent cheese-filled tortellini bathes in a rich marinara sauce, embraced by layers of melted mozzarella and Parmesan. Baked to golden perfection, this dish promises a mouthwatering experience with every cheesy, bubbly bite.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb sausage (Use sage sausage for even more flavor!)
  • 1/4 onion sliced
  • 1/2 jar pasta sauce (I use Rao's, but your favorite pasta sauce will work.)
  • 1 lb cheese tortellini
  • 1/3 cup shredded mozarella
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 3/4 tsp italian seasoning
Instructions
  1. Saute onion with olive oil until golden yellow. 

  2. Add sausage and brown. 

  3. Add 1/2 jar of pasta sauce and stir until heated. 

  4. In a separate pan, boil water. Cook tortellini per package instructions until al dente (usually 7-8 minutes). 

  5. Drain tortellini and stir with 2 tablespoons olive oil.

  6. Add in pasta sauce and sausage mixture and bring to simmer. Simmer 5 minutes.

  7. Sprinkle with mozzarella, parmesan, and italian seasoning and then place lid or cookie sheet over pan. Allow to simmer another 5 minutes.
